Hey guys, I love doing magic at private parties.
One thing I hate doing, is shouting at people though.
If you book a magician AND a DJ think about the timing. People are unlikely to be dancing when the magician is going around doing close up magic by people’s tables. So tell the DJ to keep it down until the magic has finished.
That way, we won’t have to shout over the music to be heard. Kinda spoils the magic.

Well I tell you what, I am bloody glad my two magic gigs tonight are both in Brighton!
Love not having to travel too far to perform award-winning magic for people!

So, I am preparing my magical props (cards, rings, ropes, coins etc) for a close up magic gig I have tonight in Charing Cross, London for Accenture. This was booked through my usual agency here in Brighton. They are lovely.
My check list for a corporate entertainment magic gig:
- got map of venue
- got name of venue
- got mobile number and name of contact at venue
- got 3 packs of cards, rope, rings, coins, sponge balls
- and this is the important one, got something good to watch/listen to on boring train journey. Especially as it’s snowing in London, which will clearly mean 129812 hour delays!
I’m going up early as during my check I realised I was running low on rope, so will be popping into a sailing shop to get some more stock!

Sorry of the lack of posts, just been so busy with parties recently. Got one every day this week and two on Friday!
Going to be doing Accenture’s shindig on Wednesday in Charing Cross though, that should be a good one.

Last night was a great gig in Brighton. A magic birthday party at a lovely house in one of the posh squares on the front. I entertained the guests when the arrived and then between dinner courses did close up magic at the table to give the cook/wife a bit of breathing space. It was only 12 people there so I had a real chance to show them why I am constantly referred to as The Most Bloody Lovely Magician In Brighton.*
